Here at Cutwel we have been escalating our recruitment programme following the recent management buy-out. The recruitment process was necessary to manage the growth strategy in our business plans.

Engineering is a very technical industry so fully training all our sales and support staff throughout the business on all our products is essential. All new recruits pass through the Cutwel Academy Process led by the Training Team Managers Caroline Cooke, Liam Scaramuzza and Sam Daly. During this intense training process they develop their technical engineering knowledge to be able to provide the best solution for each individual customer.

The  latest group of new recruits is just the beginning of a long-term recruitment drive. This recruitment drive will help continue the market leading growth of 25% in each of the last 2 years.  Cutwel aren’t stopping there though, with sales on target to easily surpass £20 million in the next 12 months we have plans to recruit a further 10 staff in 2019.

To facilitiate the continued growth of the company, a more structured training approach was required to successfully fasttrack all the new staff. This is to ensure that when they become customer facing they are fully prepared to give the high level of care that our customers are accustomed to. Hence, the idea for The Cutwel Academy was conceived. A thorough structured process over several weeks covering Product Training, System Training, Troubleshooting, Inbound and Outbound Call Training.

In addition to Leanne, Chantelle, Charlie, Mark, Jo, Nathaniel and Kurtis starting in November, earlier in the year we welcomed Wayne, Bob, Jacob, Tom, Joe, Samantha and Lauren who all helped us meet the demands of our growth. The group have been welcomed into the Cutwel family and have embraced their roles with great success.

The external sales roles is a new dimension to our customer support. This team includes technical time served engineers Bob Pybus, Luke Jennings, Jason Preston and Wayne Langford. They will add new dynamism to Cutwel’s sales approach as they will cover the entire country to service Cutwel’s customer base, something Cutwel have never done before. Most technical enquiries can be resolved very quickly over the phone, however a site visit giving consideration to the machine set ups will allow Cutwel the opportunity to give accurate tooling recommendations.

Cutwel now have over 65 members of staff and we look forward to welcoming more people into the team in the coming years and developing their professional careers.
