High Performance Shrink Solutions

WTE shrink chucks permit the clamping of tools for almost all machining tasks. The best radial run-out accuracy and repeatability under 0.003 mm provide the highest dimensional accuracy on the workpiece. WTE shrink chucks are made from the highest grade high tensile steel 1600-1800N/mm2 which enables shrinking from just 100-400°C.

- ALL WTE chucks balanced to 25,000RPM G2.5 (40,000RPM on request)

- Run-out <0.003mm (3μm)

- Geometries: Standard, Slim, Volume and KKB Resealable Coolant Bores

- Suitable for clamping carbide or HSS shanks with h6 tolerance

 Cutwel can supply shrink chucks up to 200mm gauge lengths in HSK-A, HSK-C, HSK-E, HSK-F, BT MAS, PSC Polygon (Capto Compatible), DBT/DSK Double Contact (Big Plus Compatible) & SK DIN69871.

Ultra-Narrow Slim 3° contour shrink chucks with 3mm wall thickness are ideal for machining in narrow pockets or hard to reach places.

WTE ‘Volume Shrink’ chucks are designed for heavy machining or for applications where surface roughness is critical. The extra mass gives the tool holder a damping effect, improving tool life and surface finish.

VIDAT Extensions achieve the damping rates of at least 4 dB, compared to normal extensions. Due to the extremely rigid connection of the shrink fit technology, slim and long extensions in particular have a tendency to rattle and vibrate. VIDAT Extensions reduce this effect and thus, greatly extend the field of application.

VIDAT stands for the VIbration Dampening Technology from BILZ. These extensions create an integrated damper, therefore they absorb the vibrations relatively quickly, resulting in a more or less vibration and rattle-free operation.
