Bison - Clamping Solution Specialist

Bison is renowned for manufacturing high quality lathe chucks. These are made from high quality forged steel or cast iron. Hardened and ground work surfaces provide the chucks with superior strength and extended lifetime.
Bison’s range includes standard, slimline and heavy-duty live centres. These are case hardened and ground with a high runout accuracy and concentricity. The service life of the live centre bearings is up to 2,000 operating hours.
Bison manufactures an extensive range of both machine and bench vices which are user friendly and cost effective. Machine vices are made of high-grade alloy steel, are hardened and stabilized, and have moveable jaws.
Bison's box jaws have hardened clamping jaws to HRc60 and have a hardened & ground steel body. Bison's milling fixtures include indenting fixtures, tailstocks, angle plates and bases.
Bison collets provide superior workholding collets in a variety of sizes for use with their collet chucks. These allow for the secure and sturdy clamping of tools and are available in 5C, 173E and 185E variants.
The Bison quick change tool post system is ideal for quick changeover of tools with precise repeatability.  Bison toolposts have a dovetail design, are typically found on most Colchester lathes and many other manual lathes.
Bison's range of Tool Holding includes 5C collet chucks, keyless drill chucks, Morse Taper reduction & extension sleeves and milling arbors. All Tool Holding Accessories must pass Bison's stringent quality control before being sent.
