Advantages

Dry Machining

On steel and hardened steel up to 70 Rockwell

Thermal Stability

Blue coating offers Incredible tool life due to withstanding temperatures up to 1,400°

High Precision Milling

Designed for highly accurate milling applications. Suitable for extreme cutting speeds with high abrasion resistance

Mirror Finish

High precision design ensures excellent workpiece finish

Features

Nanograin Carbide

Combined with YG-1’s blue silicon based coating

Negative Rake Angle

Provides the tool strength needed for high hardness machining

Deep Slotting

Various long neck options avaialble for deep slotting applications

Wide Range

Diameters available from just 0.1mm in a wide range of geometries

Nanograin Carbide

Manufactured with the hardest nanograin carbide sub-strate and coated with YG-1’s silicon based X5070 blue coating. This special coating and substrate combination is heat resistant up to 1,400°C, enabling extreme cutting speeds in the hardest of steels up to 70 Rockwell.

Dry Cutting

Designed for DRY machining. Tool life can actually be increased by up to 2.5 times when machining dry compared to with coolant. Flood coolant can cause thermal shock cracks in the coating and break down the cutting edge in high temperatures. Dry machining can also maintain a sharper cutting edge for longer.
