Advantages

Highest Speeds

Achieve the highest tapping speeds up to 4x quicker than HSSE machine taps

Ultimate Performance

The longest tool life combined with the best thread quality and reduced tapping loads

High Precision

Ultra rigid tapping for the highest precision and accuracy

Reduced Downtime

Reduced tap breakages and longer tool life ensures downtime is minimised

Features

High Quality HSS-PM

High quality powder metal substrate provides more reliability and improved wear reistance

Universal Application

Synchro rigid taps are suitable for ultra performance tapping across all materials

Tight Shank Tolerance

Ensures precision is maintained at high cutting speeds

Short Threaded Body

Minimises bird nesting, reduces chipping and improves thread finish

Nanograin Carbide

Manufactured with the hardest nanograin carbide sub-strate and coated with YG-1’s silicon based X5070 blue coating. This special coating and substrate combination is heat resistant up to 1,400°C, enabling extreme cutting speeds in the hardest of steels up to 70 Rockwell.

Dry Cutting

Designed for DRY machining. Tool life can actually be increased by up to 2.5 times when machining dry compared to with coolant. Flood coolant can cause thermal shock cracks in the coating and break down the cutting edge in high temperatures. Dry machining can also maintain a sharper cutting edge for longer.
